Take into consideration that the competition is paying monthly to show up on the first page.

We suggest that you begin by performing sample searches within Google.com, Yahoo.com, and bing.com to determine which keywords you want us to target. You will quickly find out which keyword combinations are getting you to the right information sources. Try adding brand names and places into your sample searches to see if this helps to focus your search and find the information you are looking for.
Once you have done this, send us your list of the keywords. With this list and we'll run it through our keyword analysis processes to determine several things:
- If your sample search is actually getting searched for.
- If it is too competitive, it would be too time consuming to optimize for during this campaign and should be saved for a future campaign
- If there are no-competition or there are no searches being done. If there is no data, it makes little sense to spend the time optimizing a keyword that isn't being searched for.
- We'll also identify if there are alternative high-volume, less competitive keywords that make better sense to optimize for now so that we can more easily predict we can rank well for
First, to answer the #1 question we receive... Can't you just do it yourself?
You can, but it's not nearly as easy as people think. It's time consuming and technical work. The search marketing world isn't an easy world to dominate. It's done in stages and takes an understanding of how the internet works, coding and design updates, and lots of testing based on the results… then continuous fine tuning to maintain ranking!

How to stay on top...
It takes regular monitoring, tweaking, and development time to stay at the top. Depending on the competition and number of keyword phrases, your monthly costs would vary. Expect $200 per month for maintenance + additional budgets for additional campaigns.
Step #1:
As a first step to getting our customers ranking well in the search engines, we have developed a comprehensive Search Marketing rollout plan. There are many common tasks that each website should do, plus there are many other options that can be customized to best fit your business. This can be a one-time project, or a monthly budget. Remember, when we say "traffic" we really mean "leads" and we all know leads = customers. Remember, lots of traffic is one thing, lots of quality traffic is another.
Basic outline of the process:
- We ask you to take some time to start searching within Google to determine which keywords you want to start ranking for. You give these to us and we'll go through a number crunching process that will look at the keywords, the competition, and the work involved. Once this is done we'll give you an excel file and ask you to choose 10, 20, 30, 50... as many keywords as you want to optimize for. You'll know which keywords are expected to bring in a lot of traffic and which ones will take a lot or a little effort to start ranking for.
- We work with you to develop a budget and based on your budget we will help you to decide if it would be best to either: rank naturally, start up a pay-per-click campaign, or proceed with both.
- Once we have your approval to proceed, we begin with a website optimization phase that goes through your website and makes it "search engine friendly".
- Next we take your keywords and start injecting them within your website (within the code, the page content).
- Next we start writing new content (articles) so that we can inject more keywords.
- Next we start searching around the internet for places to link back to your website (not all links are good, maybe 25% of them are). This helps to boost your popularity.
- Next we add your website to various places around the internet. Think of this like a breadcrumb trail that will lead people searching right back to your website.
- PRESTO! we've optimized your website for a specific number of keywords. All we do now is wait for the traffic to come to your site
- Finally we prepare a follow-up report that outlines what we did and how successful it was. We'll identify what the next steps should be as well as a look into any problem areas and ways to fix them. It's your choice if you want to continue or not... the proof is in the pudding as they say. If you are happy with the results and customers are coming to your site... then it makes good business sense to continue spending money on your Search Marketing campaign.
With the heavy hitters in your industry pouring money into ranking within the top spots of each search engine (yes, there are multiple search engines). Unless you have a big budget, competing with the big boys head on will be a continued battle that will likely cost a pretty penny.
Our second step is to get your ranking even better in the search engines. This means tweaking our initial campaign or adding new keywords. Our goal is to direct customers to your website and help you to convert them into sales.
- Tweaking your initial campaign could mean a lot of things. We'll analyze the results from your first campaign and determine what is working and what is not. Maybe we have to run some tests to see which button, colour, or layout your customers prefer. Maybe we have to change the registration process for your website so that it's in multiple steps. We won't know where the problems are until we get the results from the first campaign.
- Adding new keywords to your campaign can be done at any time. Our initial keyword research will make this easy since we give you a long list of keywords and the expected number of people searching for those keywords. All you have to do is choose the keywords and we'll let you know how much work it will take to start getting traffic for them. This will be easier for us to estimate since we've already done step #1 and are more familiar with your market.
Step #3:
After our initial investigations, foundation work, and the results are in... we will likely dig up alternative opportunities or generating more traffic to your website. These might yield BIG results or might flop. It's not a for-sure thing. It's your choice if you want us to work on driving more traffic to your website or we can always put them on the back burner.
